It's the collection that asks, "What if Bettie Page starred in South Pacific?" And God bless John Galliano for even thinking of asking that question. This is a fun, more wearable, more sporty collection than we're used to seeing from Dior, but still characterized by Galliano's usual flowy chiffon dresses. We're not really loving the Hawaiian prints. It'll take a good long while before we stop associating them with Jimmy Buffet concerts. Love the colors and the ankle tie shoes (bien sûr), as well as the rest of the accessories. Still, while there is much to love here, we're a little tired of so many vintage-inspired collections from Dior. It would be nice to see a modern take for a change.
